  • India and France held a joint air combat exercise in France called ‘Garuda IV’.
  • Cyclone Phet hit Gujarat coast .
  • Indigenous developed vaccine ‘Vaxiflu-S’ against swine flu (H1N1) is launched.
  • Mars-500 : An experiment to study the effect of long isolation to better understand how a real space crew should cope with stress and fatigue. The experiment is conducted by Russia, China and The European Space Agency at Moscow. A total of 520 days are required to travelled to and back form Mars planet.
  • Capital Gate Tower in Abu Dhabi has been certified at world’s furthest leaning manmade tower. The tower leans at 18 degrees, over four times angle of the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
